About me!

Hi! Nice to meet you!

I'm Pim Widdershoven and living in the small and quiet town Stevensweert (Limburg, The Netherlands), only a few meters from the Belgian border.

I've studied Network Infrastructure Design (NID in short) at Zuyd Hogeschool Heerlen (Limburg, The Netherlands). This 4-year study (HBO) was all about network infrastructure (Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCDA/CCDP) and Microsoft lectures supplemented with lectures about Linux, scripting languages, ITIL, mathematics, etc.

My career started during my studie at Zuyd Hogeschool. I've started my own business Piwi-Web focussed on software development, DevOps, IT consultancy and coaching. After my study I've started working for BlueTea, HOTflo, and Performation as PHP software developer and DevOps Engineer. Currently I fulfill the DevOps Engineer role in the Enterprise Service Automation (ESA) team at APG.

In the past few years I have gained experience with a lot of technology: PHP 5/7, Python 2/3, RedHat/CentOS, Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, Terraform, Rancher, Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RKE), Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, RabbitMQ, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Percona XtraDB Cluster (MySQL), Fortigate, Juniper, Zyxel, Cisco, Azure (AD), Symfony 2/3/4/5 PHP Framework, ServiceNow (Orchestration), ... and many more other stuff.
